Description

BMP-7 is a member of the TGF-β superfamily which is supposed to be one of the most potent anabolic factors of chondrocytes. The growth factor domain of human BMP-7 shares 98% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat BMP-7.

Biological Activity

Determined by its ability to induce alkaline phosphatase production by ATDC-5 cells.
